New Jersey Concealed Carry Course — CCARE Training

Prepare for the training component of a New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun with Danielfam Firearms. This in-person course combines New Jersey-specific use-of-force education, safe-handling assessment, and the Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Evaluation (CCARE).

Course details

• Tuition: $250 per person
• Class size: Maximum six students per confirmed class
• Format: In-person classroom instruction and live-fire qualification
• Scheduling: By request, subject to instructor and range availability
• Duration and location: Confirmed when your class is arranged

What the course includes

• New Jersey’s Use of Force Training for Private Citizen Concealed Carry, presented in person, including the state’s legal standards governing use of force.
• Firearm safety, responsible handling, and the safety assessment required by the current NJSP CCARE protocol.
• CCARE live-fire qualification administered by a certified firearms instructor. Successful completion requires meeting the official passing standard and demonstrating safe handling throughout.
• Guidance on the training documents needed for the New Jersey permit application.

Completion documentation

Students who successfully complete the required instruction and qualification receive the completed New Jersey PTC Safe Handling and Proficiency Certification (SP 182) and a copy of the instructor’s certification for their application.

Classes are scheduled by request rather than on a fixed public calendar. Contact info@danielfamfirearms.com with your preferred dates and number of participants. Each class is limited to six students; submitting a request does not reserve a seat until the date and availability are confirmed.

Equipment, ammunition requirements, classroom and range arrangements, and payment details will be confirmed before registration.

Important information

This course is for eligible New Jersey resident and nonresident applicants. Training completed for another state does not replace New Jersey’s requirements. Applicants must also complete the NJSP Firearms Safety & Awareness review incorporated into the state’s online application.

Course completion is not a permit, does not authorize carrying a handgun, and does not guarantee permit approval. Government application, fingerprinting, and processing fees are separate from course tuition. Permit eligibility and approval are determined by the issuing authority.
